Season of the Deep added new class-based Exotic missions for existing gear overhauled in Ikora Rey in the Tower. A simple trick lets you take the single Exotic reward and multiply it indefinitely. Here’s how it works:
- Go to Ikora and choose one of the Exotic quests.
- Go to step four
- Go back and talk to him but don’t take the prize
- Instead step back and open your quest log and leave the quest
- Now talk to Ikora again and get as many Exotic copies as you want.
You’ll want to make sure the inventory slot for the corresponding armor piece is empty, otherwise the space will fill up quickly. But once started, you can start deleting all the extra Exotic parts and then get more without leaving Ikora’s quest screen. Each Decayed Exotic will earn you seven Gunsmith reputations, 500 Glimmers, and five Legendary Shards.
Fragments are used to focus Engrams, buy other resources such as upgrade modules, and buy new weapons and gear from various vendors. These are easy to dodge, especially if you’re a new player. And you never know which way the wind will turn Destiny 2economyso it’s always a good time to stock up.
