Like so many games these days, the highly anticipated Baldur’s Gate 3 It comes in several different versions at several different price points. Obviously if a D&D super fan, you may be interested in the most expensive one, but what exactly will you gain from spending that extra money? What about other versions? Let’s smash them all.
When Baldur’s Gate 3 even going out?
you wouldn’t be alone if you found Baldur’s Gate 3The release status is a bit confusing. Although the game reached Early Access in 2020, full version Baldur’s Gate 3 Releases for PC on August 3, 2023 (Steam or DRM-free GOG). on console, PlayStation 5 version coming out on September 6. And yes, Xbox and Mac versions has waiting for the end specific difficulties that developer Larian encountered there means we’ll have to wait.
standard version Baldur’s Gate 3 It will be available for $60 on PC and Mac, and $70 on PS5. However, there are a few other versions you might want to consider. There’s no physical version of the game itself, like a plastic plate with layered data you place in a slot, but the most expensive version gives you some tangible goodies. More on these shortly.
Baldur’s Gate 3 deluxe version
Good news, folks™: if you pre-order Baldur’s Gate 3 The Deluxe Edition will already be coming to you on PC or Mac. Sick, right?
But if you’re on the PS5, it’ll already cost you an extra $10 before the more expensive version: that’s $80.

- A special sticker sheet (aside from the sticker bomb everything)
- A Mind Flayer vs. Drow war diorama (put it on the fireplace)
- 160 page hardcover art book (great for coffee tables)
- cloth map of Faerûn (by the way, great support for TTRPGs)
- Epic D&D character sheets (pro tip: If you want to use these in real life D&D game, make photocopies so as not to spoil the originals)
- metal tadpole keychain (one thing you should remind everyone tadpole)
- Magic: Dating booster pack
- A special metal d20 themed Baldur’s Gate 3 (I’ll still always throw 1)
- certificate of authenticity (show it to your friends, make them jealous)
- Custom in-game dice skin based on the Collector’s Edition metal d20
Sounds good, right? I have good news and bad news. Collector’s Edition only Available from Larian’s online store, currently out of stock. Good news? You can give your e-mail address to Larian to be notified when it is back in stock. If $270 isn’t too much gold to dissuade you from the idea, I’d suggest getting a copy as soon as possible once it’s available, as this seems to be a pretty popular item.
