Kids will buy it. Teenagers, young adults, this is a new Zelda game, all of these people pre-ordered the game (or annoyed their parents to pre-order) months ago. But old players? This is a different story. Older players have jobs. They may have a big house, they may have a family, they may have other things to do instead of playing video games all the time.
Sure, they can have a Switch and Zelda At one point—perhaps as recently as 2017!—but that was six years ago and times are changing. For example, in 2017 I was 37 years old and had two kids and was working on a video game site. In 2023 I… Okay, it’s a bad example, but Nintendo’s target is going to be a lot of people who aren’t very interested in this game. Zelda because they were the last.
For them Nintendo Australia made this trailer and it’s definitely something:
