The first of three expansion packs for Avalanche Studios’ Just Cause 3, Sky Fortress is set for a release in March 2016 and will be available to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC players.

Furthermore, players with the Air, Land & Sea Expansion Pass will be able to get access to the add-on a week before it goes live.

Packing fresh new missions, Sky Fortress will hurl hero Rico Rodriguez high up into the air and deep into the sprawling Sky Fortress, pitting him against malignant drones. A new feature is the ‘Bavarium Wingsuit’, a weaponised wing-suit fitted with shoulder-mounted machine guns and missiles. Rico won’t have to tackle the Sky Fortress alone either, because he’ll be toting along an ‘Eviction’ personal defense drone and a spanking new assault rifle called the ‘Bavarium Splitter’ for even more sky-high mayhem. What’s more, these new tools can be carried over to the main game.

Avalanche Studios Senior Producer Tobias Andersson had the following to say about the new Just Cause 3 expansion pass:

If Just Cause 3 is over-the-top action then the Air, Land and Sea Expansion pass aims to stand on its shoulders and reach even higher.  An incredible amount of time has been spent ensuring every new item is fully integrated into the main game and can be used during existing missions. Rico’s new Bavarium Wingsuit will fundamentally alter the core gameplay of Just Cause 3 and we can’t wait to see the crazy stunts that players perform with it.

Just Cause 3’s subsequent two expansion packs will be entitled Land Mech Assault and Bavarium Sea Heist. While there are no solid dates for either yet, both are guaranteed release before the end of summer.

Players can avail of the Just Cause 3 Air, Land & Sea Expansion Pass, complete with early access to all expansion packs one week ahead of launch, for $24.99. The Sky Fortress pack as a standalone download will be priced at $11.99.
