As PS4 trophy hunters, we’re hard-wired to be fascinated with finishing everything and even more so with easy platinum trophies. There’s arguably nothing more satisfying than a PS4 platinum trophy for a 100% completion rate on the entire planet, and that includes when you manage to crack all five of your knuckles in a row. Actually, I’ve never done that. Sadface.

In most modern PS4 releases, it’s actually possible to get 100%… twice. You have your bog-standard save file, and then there’s the trophy set – that glorious, digital collection of all your bronze, silver, gold and platinum PS4 trophies, that’s always accompanied with the most incredible ‘ping’ sound in the universe.

It’s hard to describe why PlayStation trophies are so much fun to collect; they just are. So, to start making them pop a little easier, IGCritic humbly presents to you 6 of the easiest platinum trophies on PS4 you can currently obtain. And, unlike the PS3 days, Hannah Montana The Game isn’t an option. Unfortunately.

  1. Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune Remastered

Uncharted The Nathan Drake Collection

Time: Approx 13 hours
Difficulty: 5/10
Buy From Amazon

Uncharted is a great series, but its trophy lists leave a lot to be desired. They’re not usually very creative, and despite some level specific trophies in Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, are quite bland. The Nathan Drake Collection didn’t change that one bit, and while the trophies aren’t particularly interesting, it’s one of the easiest games to platinum.

Crushing difficulty is unlocked from the get-go this time around (in the PS3 version, you had to beat the game to unlock it) meaning that one 10-hour playthrough will suffice here. You’ll want to use a Uncharted walkthrough to collect all the treasures along the way, and once the credits roll, you’ll just have a few weapon-specific trophies to clear up – which can be farmed via chapter select. You’ll have to beat three chapters of speedrun mode too, but combined, this will take you 22 minutes.

We could’ve included any game from Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection here, as all three have pretty much the same trophy list. That means you can buy one copy of the game and get three easy platinum trophies done in about 39 hours. Pure win! Crushing mode can be a little difficult, but it won’t cause you too much trouble. I’d recommend watching cat videos on Youtube when you get particularly stressed.

  1. Far Cry 4

Time: Approx 25 hours

The hardest part of Far Cry 4’s platinum trophy might be finding people to play with online. It’s not a franchise that has fostered a strong multiplayer community, and Far Cry 4 didn’t change that one bit. You’ll have to play a single match of each game type, but given the low player counts and unstable servers in Far Cry 4, this is easier said than done!

Elsewhere, you’ll have to complete the easy singleplayer campaign, shoot some animals in the face, and complete a couple of side missions. There are a few basic bronze trophies for pimping out your weapons and skills, but most of these will come through Far Cry 4’s natural story progression.

In terms of difficulty, this PS4 platinum gets a four because of certain killing trophies. There’s a bronze trophy for murdering an enemy while riding a Buzzer helicopter, and it can be quite tricky, but should prove no problem after many, many tries. Good luck soldier!

  1. Rocket League

Rocket League coming to Xbox One

Time: Approx 20 Hours
Difficulty: 4/10

Ah, Rocket League. The only easy PS4 platinum trophy that won’t be attainable by people who suffer from epileptic fits. Seriously, how many different bright, coloured explosions can one game have?

Anyhow, this one can be a bit of a grind – you’ll have the ‘Drive a total of 50km’ trophy to thank for that – but pretty much every other shiny reward comes from just playing the game. You’ll have to win 30 games and complete a nine-game season championship, but with matches lasting a total of five measly minutes getting the platinum trophy isn’t too bad. Plus, it’s just damn fun to play. I don’t know about you, but I love driving my car into giant metal balls on a weekend.
