And the countdown continues with Uncharted 4’s release date set for May 10th 2016!

Naughty Dog is at it again and with the way the Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is shaping up so far, it’s safe to say the fourth and final installment is going to be a stupendous conclusion to the tale of intrepid treasure hunter Nathan Drake (with the exception of any upcoming Uncharted movie ...).

In the past, we’ve seen the release date being pushed  from the initially-promised 2015 release window to the April 26th, 2016 date we have now, so it’s hard to blame players who are all antsy to get their hands on what is easily one of the most anticipated games of 2016!

Based on what we know so far, the PlayStation 4-exclusive Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will take place three years after Drake’s Deception. A now-retired Nathan Drake will have to tackle the mystery of mythic pirate colony Libertatia with his older brother Sam, who was long thought to be dead.

New features include the ability to pick out dialogue options, new moves in combat, and several new weapons among more to be revealed in the future.

And if you don’t own a PlayStation 4 yet and this game has colored you curious, you might want to take a look into the Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Limited Edition PlayStation 4 Bundle below.

This small treasure trove of goodies will include: a Gray Blue 1TB PS4 console with a silk-screened image of Nathan Drake and “Sic parvis magna” (“greatness from small beginnings”) emblazoned on it, along with a matching custom DualShock 4 controller, a physical Blu-ray copy of the game and even a Nathan Drake figure complete with accessories.

The controller will be available separately in early March, as well as a Grey Blue edition of the PlayStation Gold Wireless Headset that matches the console.

Partnering with Dark Horse Comics, Naughty Dog has recently released new concept art from the official art book. The art shows off some of the breath-taking locales Nathan Drake and Sam will be exploring in-game. The Uncharted series has often been praised for its gorgeous, eye-catching environments and it looks like this game will not disappoint in that regard.

According to Popcultcha, the book will aptly be titled “The Art of Uncharted 4”, and players can get their hands on it in tandem with the game’s release on May 10th, 2016. More die-hard fans might be willing to shell out the $119.99 needed for the limited edition hardback.

With about two months left, the countdown to the Uncharted 4’s release date has been one of the most anticipated in 2016 and the Uncharted 4 countdown has officially begun. Just recently, the company wrapped up motion capture work (Check out the real Nathan Drake!):

Knowing that they’re putting a few finishing touches and polishing some rough spots will hopefully make the wait more bearable!
