Ubisoft has recently unveiled the system requirements and release dates for Far Cry Primal on their official blog. Thankfully the game doesn’t seem to require impossible stuff in terms of PC hardware to run- a mid-range processor and graphics card should be more than enough for this Stone Age adventure.

As for the Far Cry Primal release date, it’ s been confirmed that we’re getting Primal on March 1st, 2016 for the PC, and February 23rd  for PS4 and Xbox One.

Far Cry Primal takes players to the land of Oros, set during the Mesolithic era. The game trades in the usual modern-day firearms and guns-a-blazing warfare for hand-crafted weaponry and intense primaeval action.  As the lone survivor of their hunting group, players are forced to survive the harsh, unforgiving terrains and the hostile tribes that prowl the land. Expect marvellous beasts like woolly mammoths and sabretooth tigers (you can keep one as a pet!) roaming around, free for the killing or taming. In Primal, you’re at the bottom of the food chain, and you have to make sure that that fact doesn’t kill you.

Wondering if your rig is ready for this beast? Take a look at both the minimum and recommended PC system requirements below, along with the video cards supported at release. All are taken from Ubisoft’s blog.

These requirements are a slight rung up higher than the hardware requirements for Far Cry 4, but that only means we’ll be getting a more beautiful game.

A little note left on the entry also says that the game will only work on 64-bit operating systems and that laptop versions of the cards mentioned above may work, but they aren’t officially supported.

In the meantime, you can take a peek at what we’re getting from Far Cry Primal in the trailer below:
