Lego is officially adding the newest addition to the Star Wars movie canon to their line-up of Lego Star Wars video games! The toy block company recently unveiled the trailer up on their official website.

Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens will “[feature] exclusive playable content that bridges the story gap between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens.”; no doubt interesting content for all the story buffs out there.

The game will let players take control of plucky heroes Rey, Finn, Poe and even more characters in cutesy, colorful Lego forms. And yes, don’t worry: BB-8 is going to be playable. And Han Solo. And Chewbacca. The big question here is: will we be able to play as the “Traitor!” Stormtrooper? The guy has his own canon story, after all.

The game will also feature the scenic locales found in the blockbuster movie, such as Jakku and Starkiller Base. New features include epic space dogfights, where the players can pilot iconic Star Wars ships (including the Millennium Falcon!), a Multi-Builds system, and a fighting arena.

Lego has so far released three games based on the Star Wars series prior to this announcement: Lego Star Wars: The Video Game, The Original Trilogy, and The Clone Wars, accounting for all six of the Star Wars films before The Force Awakens. All three combined have sold over 33 million copies worldwide. The Force Awakens will no doubt be another great entry to add to the series, and will hopefully serve as a good way to tide us over until we get the next movie, Star Wars: Episode VIII, in two years.

Have a look-see at the reveal trailer below- we love how it teases the movie trailer in a loving way, adding the distinct Lego humor and charm to an already awesome movie.

Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens comes out on June 28, 2016 on the Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS Vita, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, the WiiU and the Nintendo 3DS (whew!).

Be sure to leave your thoughts in the comment section- we’d love to hear about them!
