Imagine yourself adrift on a mysterious island that you can’t escape from. You’re freezing, hungry, tired, and all-in-all, you’re just really lost. What’s the first thing that one needs to think of? That’s simple. Survival.
From developer and publisher, Studio Wildcard comes a game that sets you on a journey through a bizarre land filled with pre-historic creatures. Fight for your survival in Ark: Survival Evolved.
In this first person action-adventure game, you are lost in the bizarre land of Ark where primaeval creatures such as dinosaurs roam free. Your main goal is to survive, and in order to do this, you must learn to hunt, harvest resources, create shelter, craft weapons, and, more importantly, obtain the skills needed to survive in the land of Ark.
Your basic needs aren’t the only things players need to be concerned about in Ark: Survival Evolved. Unpredictable beasts can come creeping without you noticing, nature can instantly destroy your resources or shelter (or both), and other lost souls played by other gamers can attack what you initially hope is your safe haven.
What makes Ark: Survival Evolved a wonderful experience is its touch of realism. Building and crafting the gear required for survival takes time, and being vigilance is a necessity in Ark: Survival Evolved because once your character dies… he/she will remain dead. If you have trust issues then Ark: Survival Evolved will not help you overcome them. Be careful. Your allies might turn out to be the exact opposite; a backstabbing &$*#.
Ark: Survival Evolved has been downloaded over 2 million times since its Early Access steam release on June 2nd, 2015, and has received a massive amount of positive reviews on Steam. In addition to Steam, the game has also reached another million players on its Xbox One pre-release and is currently reviewing player feedback for this platform.
An official release date for Ark: Survival Evolved has not yet been officially confirmed but it’s rumored to be released this summer.
