Indie Award Winner the Town of Light Is Now Available on PC
“We are really proud to bring The Town of Light to the public. It has been a long journey but we are really proud of what we have achieved. We are really committed to continuing to support the game post-launch while starting the work on the Xbox version of the game.” — Creative director, Luca Dalco.
Indie game developer, LKA.it, has released their first first-person psychological thriller entitled The Town of Light.
Gamers will take their role as Renee, a confused 16-year-old girl, who struggles with the symptoms of mental illness. Her recollection of the past seemed broken as she can only see them in flashes and images that come her head, and so she wishes to know what had happened. Renee decides to visit the place where she had spent most of her childhood to find the truth behind her broken memories.
The Town of Light has already won several awards including Excellence in Story and Storytelling, Gamer’s Voice Award, and Editor’s choice in Indie DB’s Indie of the year 2015. Many websites have also commented on The Town of Light’s uniqueness, giving a refreshing experience for the psychological horror genre.
Currently, it is available for PC and is already supported for Oculus Rift. Some lucky gamers have already posted videos of them trying it out on the Oculus Rift. Check out the video above to see how it looks.
The Town of Light was launched last week, February 26th, on Steam, and is also available at the Humble Store. Both stores are offering it at a discounted price for a limited time only. For those who purchase the game in the first two weeks after the 26th of February; extra DLCs will be free, and the game package will include the official soundtrack, art book and a copy of Renee’s diary.
