Church in the Darkness to Be Released on PS4, XBone, and PC
Because we preach the truth, they call us a cult.
Paranoid Productions has just revealed the trailer of their upcoming title called The Church in the Darkness. Announced by Director and Designer, Richard III, is an action-filled game with deep narratives set in an isolated community.
During the 1970s, a group of socialists named the Collective Justice Mission was led by Isaac & Rebecca Walker. These individuals believe that the US government’s way is corrupt and ineffective, and so they proposed a way of socialism that could replace the country’s current system and help make progress. But instead of having their ideas entertained fairly, the US government labels their group as a cult which in turn caused them to be chased down by the government and be forced to flee into jungles of South America. The Collective Justice Mission began building their own utopia, isolated from the rest of the world.
But to those who are not part of their group, one question remains… What exactly are they doing in the jungle?
Play as Vic, a once regular member of the law enforcement team, who decides to visit the group’s town as he worries for his nephew, Alex, who is in the remote society. This top-down action game lets you infiltrate the community’s home, Freedom Town, and choose what you want to do as you move about. But be careful with every choice and step you make because Freedom Town could be more than what meets the eye.
There could be darker things brewing in the shadows.
The game is currently in development and is set to be launched sometime next year. The Church in the Darkness will be released for PS4, Xbox One, and on Steam for PC and Mac. You can check the game’s official PS4 teaser trailer below:
