E3 2016 has slowly come to a close and lots of information on the latest and greatest that the gaming world has to offer has been announced this year. Note: the following E3 announcements are not ordered or ranked in any way but rather a selection of our 10 favorite E3 confirmed games.

  1. Dishonored 2

Platform: PC, PS4, Xbox One
Release date: November 11th, 2016
Pre-order Dishonored 2

After the success of Dishonored, Arkane Studios has turned up the gameplay with Dishonored 2. You are able to play as both Emily Kaldwin and Corvo Attano, each having separate abilities and takes on the same story, as you try to recover Emily Kaldwin’s thrown after a coup by an otherworldly entity. With new skills and abilities exclusive to Emily (as well as returning abilities from Corvo) and enhanced combat mechanics as well as more non-lethal options for stealth-based players; Dishonored 2 offers plenty of ways to play and things to do in the new land of Karnaca.

  1. South Park: The Fractured But Whole

Platform: PC, PS4, Xbox One
Release date: December 6th, 2016
Pre-order South Park: The Fractured But Whole

Cartman and the South Park gang are back, this time as superheroes! Be the new kid, donning a mantle of your choosing from a variety of superhero options, and embark on a brand new fart filled journey. Will the civil war between South Park’s superheroes end in hilarity? Only time will tell as you gain friends on Coonstagram and try to bring peace back to South Park.

  1. Horizon: Zero Dawn

Platform: PS4
Release date: February 28th, 2017
Pre-order Horizon: Zero Dawn

1000 years in the future, Horizon: Zero Dawn puts you in the role of Aloy, a woman who is attempting to discover the secrets of the fall of civilization. In a world where robots and mechanized creatures are all that is left of human civilization, Aloy must hunt them to survive, all while attempting to figure out the secrets of what happened to the golden age of humanity. This video game sticks out to me because I have played plenty of post-apocalyptic games, but never games that detail what comes AFTER the post-apocalypse, what the survivors of our race would become and believe in a brand new world free of civilization as we know it.

  1. Days Gone

Platform: PS4
Release date: TBA

Days Gone is an all new IP that seems to be a blend of Sons of Anarchy and The Last of Us. You are put in the role of a man named Deacon St. John, who seems to be more comfortable living a dangerous life on the open road, rather than living in an encampment. Days Gone showcases Zombie-esque enemies in massive hordes, and shows a world ravaged by a pandemic that decimated humanity, killing many; while also turning large amounts into the “Freakers” Zombie-esque creatures that are evolving.

  1. God of War

Platform: PS4
Release date: TBA

The Slayer of the Greek Gods, the Spartan Kratos returns in an all new God of War adventure. Exclusively on the Playstation 4, Kratos will have the opportunity to explore the world of the Norse Gods, years after defeating the entire Greek Pantheon. Kratos will be accompanied on this journey by his son, who will provide assistance in combat, exploration, and puzzle solving. Follow Kratos and his son, exploring a new, strange land while Kratos attempts to atone for his past mistakes and learn to control his rage.
